 All of our units are at least 8 feet tall. You will get the most use out of your storage unit if you are able to stack your belongings. Professional movers fill storage units all the way to the top, and full all the way to the front, if you don’t need regular access to your belongings. Planning for an aisle or two is a good idea if you need regular access to your possessions. This may mean you should plan on looking at slightly larger self storage unit sizes.

5x5 - Small Closet

5x5 - These units are most commonly compared to a utility closet in your home.  Typically, these units are used to pack up records or store holiday decorations.  Many people use these units seasonally to hide holiday presents from their children who always seem to find them before the holidays.  This unit will hold from 60 to 80 boxes, that’s a pretty good Christmas.

5x10 - Walk in Closet

5x10 - This Self Storage Unit Size is typically correlated to the size of a walk-in closet, and will usually store a chair, sofa, dresser, mattress and miscellaneous boxes along with smaller items.

10x10 - One Bedroom Home

10x10 - Our 10x10 units are half the size of a one car garage.  These will commonly hold the furnishings of a one bedroom apartment, including all furnishings as well as several boxes and possibly appliances.

10x15 - Two Bedroom Home

10x15 - These self storage unit sizes will hold a two bedroom apartment or the furnishings of a small home.  These most commonly will hold all furniture, accessories, and personal effects.

10x20 - Three Bedroom Home or Automobile

10x20 - The 10x20 unit is a common size for a one car garage.  Most often, these Self Storage Unit Sizes are used for automobile storage or various types of vehicle storage, although that usually does not allow much space for other items.  This size will also allow for storage of an entire home of about three bedrooms.

10x25 - Four Bedroom Home or Boat

10x25 - This unit size and up are great for boat storage, commercial storage and used most typically for large four bedroom home storage.
